Paddling the Oswego River, June 26, 2021

This quick video highlights our first trip down the Oswego River on June 26, 2021. We launched from Lake Oswego, portaged at the dam, and began our float a few minutes later. There was intermittent rain all day, and when we reached Harrison Lake, the rain came down in sheets.

The water level was medium to medium-high and there were not too many low spots. Waterbound obstacles were abounding, but passable. The last 1/3 of the trip was through high weeds and grass, which made for a tough paddle.

Overall this was a great float, as long as you save energy for the last mile across the lake to the pick-up point.
